It took some time to come up with my One Word and then it took some courage to say it out loud and to own it. It was sitting content on my heart, but like a lot of my dreams, it needed wings to fly. I needed a place to write and although this is much more personal than usual, it felt right. “Leave your mark on the world” and “live as though there is no tomorrow” are more than just words. Inhale them into your being and exhale anything that has been holding you back.
A client said something to me the other day, asking what does it mean, “all these people saying they are so stressed out?” It was an interesting conversation. What does it mean? Where does it come from? And what is the difference between “stressed out” and plain old stress? I often mention that stress will be there no matter what. It is how we manage it that makes the difference. And I am one of the first people to admit that I, by no means, am free of stress. But I don’t mind it and very rarely feel like I am “stressed out”. My client and I decided that the phrase, “stressed out” is a state-of-mind. And we all know what that can do to you.
