A Training plan to progressively challenge, build and take your fitness to the next level
This is for anyone who wants to learn to train like an athlete; whether it is the first day off the couch or if you have been on the treadmill going nowhere for too long, or if you know that no matter how many times you have experienced this type of training, there is always something to learn! We call our cycling “tribe” the “On Your Left” group, which most runners and cyclists understand that phrase to mean, “I’m coming up on your left to pass you.” Usually those passing “on the left” have a certain humble confidence about them that comes with experience and training. They are an elite group that have earned the right to say “on your left”. Which means each person started somewhere and every person started at the beginning!
One of the best measures of your improvement and success is to have a beginning baseline and an end result. The Energy Lab’s Periodization Training will provide you with exactly that; an 8-week periodization program taking place in the context of our cycling classes, including The Breakthrough.
Periodization training will challenge your body in new ways and help you to reach goals you never thought possible. It is heart training at its finest.
Beyond the training, The Energy Lab’s Periodization Training provides consistency, adherence and accountability, which make the rewards even sweeter.
The cost of The Energy Lab’s Periodization Training is $75 which in addition to the training plan, includes nutrition after classes, raffles, prizes, and an “On Your Left” shirt, plus weekly motivations and educational content, early access to classes, the “race” experience and many “and-then-somes”! (the cost of classes is not included.) To sign up, stop by the studio, call us at 909-798-1800 or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Heart rate monitors are highly recommended and will be using Polar Flow for instant feedback.
Here is what people have to say about periodization Training:
“I learned that I am tougher than I give myself credit for, the quality of fuel and rest really do compliment or complicate a workout and training as part of a group is more successful than trying to train alone.”
“This was SO different. It was about really pushing yourself, and training beyond the typical ‘work out’. And it isn’t that is was HARDER than just doing the typical old workout…because the truth is those are really hard because you are just there to push through. In fact, in a lot of ways it was a lot easier, because we were working towards goals and then pushing past those goals into new accomplishments. I learned that while I don’t play field hockey or lacrosse anymore, I can still train like an athlete and push myself further than I have been. Waking up at 5am for a workout has never been so easy as when I know I’m coming into The Energy Lab to see friends, sweat like crazy, and really train.”
